On the auspicious occasion of Mahalaya (21st September, 2025) at the evening (4 pm) of Devi Paksha, Vivekdhara is proud to propose a cultural event titled “Shaktirupen” at EZCC, Kolkata, designed to honour and empower the feminine spirit. This initiative draws inspiration from Devi Durga’s triumph over Mahishasura, symbolizing the strength of motherhood, sisterhood, and womanhood in the face of social injustice.
The programme will feature a National Seminar, cultural performances, symbolic gestures of empowerment, and a public distribution of safety kits to at least 100 women.
Just as the divine forces once armed Goddess Durga to conquer evil, we—citizens with conscience—wish to symbolically arm at least 100 women with safety kits: thoughtfully curated bags that serve as protective tools, empowering them to safeguard themselves and stand against everyday evils.
